A total of 20 hectares of land has been cleared and is ready for ploughing. AREX has conducted the pegging of canals that need to be rehabilitated, and construction work is currently underway. Spare parts for servicing four engines have been procured, and ZINWA has started repairing the engines and pumps.
A farmer organization model has been identified and structures are yet to be put in place. SAFIRE has conducted market research in Malipati, Chiredzi and surrounding areas to assess demand for identified crops.
